Under the Green Deal, the EU has been working on a large number of policies to promote a circular and climate-neutral economy in Europe. This talk will analyse how these policies influence the production and use of bio-based and biodegradable plastics – from Circular Economy Action Plan, Policy Framework for Biobased, Biodegradable and Compostable Plastics, to Single-Use Plastics Directive, Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation and more.
