Science to enable sustainable plastics

The 8th Chemical Sciences and Society Summit (CS3) held in London in November 2019 presents the scientific contributions the of the meeting.

The CS3 is held every two years and provides a platform for leading researchers to discuss strategies and solutions for the challenges faced by our world. More than 30 scientists came together for the 8th summit and aimed to look into the field of sustainable plastics. More precisely, new sustainable plastics, their impact on the environment, their recyclability as well as their degradtion was investigated. This paper summerizes the presentations, discussions and outcomes of the meeting: https://www.rsc.org/new-perspectives/sustainability/progressive-plastics/
