Our MIX-UP partner CSIC is involved in designing the technology of a bioprocess with the goal to produce bacterial polymers, from the investigation of biological raw materials to the production in pilot plant. The new polymers will be useful for short and long-term uses and will be used in various industrial sectors such as packaging, agriculture and cosmetics. The research results are expected to be the starting point for a innovative, sustainable and circular economy.
